On Monday, 11 September 2023, the DA’s seminal case against this year’s extortionate 30% national electricity tariff hike, by NERSA, will be heard in the North Gauteng High Court.
The DA is taking this unaffordable and offensive national increase on review, because people across South Africa can no longer afford the out of control price hikes that the ANC national government continues to force onto them across the board.
The DA case will also seek to have the ANC-created electricity crisis, and load shedding, declared unconstitutional.
Helen Zille, DA Federal Council Chairperson, will lead a delegation of DA national and Gauteng leadership at Court, which will consist of Alan Winde, Western Cape Premier, Dr Ivan Meyer, DA Federal Chairperson, and Solly Msimanga, DA Gauteng Provincial Leader.
