The Eastern Cape is a real dichotomy – many internationally known business and sportspersons hail from Nelson Mandela Bay and the Eastern Cape, many businesses are lauded for their innovational ways of conducting business and then… most of those people, schooled and hardened in the deep, hot trenches are then snapped up to work in other cities and countries.

The Eastern Cape honest does not seem competent of retaining home grown talent.

MyPE Business.

This drain of resources has, over the past decades, resulted in low employment rates, extreme poverty and a defeatist attitude.

We witness media (social and traditional) in other provinces and countries supporting their businesses and sports making the rest of the country wanting to creep there and share in the distinguished fortune whilst us here in the Eastern Cape will rather bash and pull down anyone who excels.

A lot of it is due to the stranglehold that traditional media maintain on the Eastern Cape and the high cost of getting any message out.

MyPE Business is a dedicated offshoot of the long running MyPE publication and has a focus to showcase positively all business within the Nelson Mandela Bay area of Gqeberha, Kariega and Despatch.

At present businesses may acquire the following free services:

  1. Submit business news for free
  2. List their business, web site, social media and product for free.

MyPE Business will support NMB based business with as much free publicity as possible in an attempt to arrest the negativity and low rates of employment within the region.

We will shine a light on business in the area and encourage people fabricate those vital decisions to invest in the area and create weaklth and prosperity for all.

Boilerplate and Editor’s Notes.

“If a young man tells his date how handsome, smart and successful he is – that’s advertising. If the young man tells his date she’s intelligent, looks lovely, and is a great conversationalist, he’s saying the right things to the right person and that’s marketing. If someone else tells the young woman how handsome, smart and successful her date is – that’s PR.” – S. H. Simmons
