The vibrant Mother City is gearing up for a series of eight exciting PUMA NITRO™ RUNS leading up to the 9th annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K that is set to coincide with Mother’s Day. These runs are open to all, whether you are part of a running club or just enjoy a casual stroll.

“The first PUMA NITRO™ RUN will take place on Thursday, 14 March 2024 at 17:30, starting at The Burrow/Nine Four in Cape Town CBD,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “This exciting fitness initiative serves as a lead-up to the main event, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in May. Besides offering a fun 5km run, the PUMA NITRO™ RUNS provide a fantastic social platform for like-minded individuals to connect. What sets these runs apart is the exclusive opportunity for runners and walkers to test out PUMA’s latest range of running shoes.”

“PUMA’s dedicated technical team will be on-site at each run, offering valuable assistance and guidance to ensure every participant finds their perfect fit for an enhanced running experience,” continues Meyer. “This hands-on experience allows you to accurately identify the shoe that aligns with your unique running style.”

The PUMA NITRO™ RUNS are open to all club and non-club runners and walkers and are free of charge. There are fantastic prizes up for grabs, including a pair of PUMA Velocity NITRO™ 3 running shoes, courtesy of PUMA South Africa. Participants are reminded to collect their lucky draw tickets on completion of the 5km run/walk.

In conclusion, Meyer emphasizes, “The PUMA NITRO™ RUNS offer a glimpse into the heart of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, giving participants a taste of what awaits them at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K on Sunday, 12 May 2024. Join us as we #RunYourCity #fueledbyNITRO.”
