[Gqeberha, South Africa] – The digital landscape of South Africa is about to be shaken up with the inaugural Simple Steps Blogging Summit, scheduled to take place from the 24th to the 26th of April, 2024. This pioneering event marks the first time that a gathering of this magnitude, focusing on blogging and social media expertise, will be hosted online in South Africa. Aimed at both budding and seasoned content creators, the summit promises to be an interesting three-day journey into the insights of both local and international expert’s in the blogging and content creation space.

Day One: Get Tech Savvy

The summit kicks off with a focus on the technical aspects of blogging.

• AI Tools for Bloggers: Ryan Robinson of RightBlogger will introduce attendees to over 60 tools designed to enhance productivity. He will also demonstrate how to convert YouTube videos into blog posts.
• Blog Maintenance: Renee Shupe, aka Geek in my Pocket, will cover the essentials of blog upkeep.
• Photography on a Budget: Award-winning cookbook author Teresa Ulyate will share her secrets to capturing stunning photographs without breaking the bank.
• Boosting SEO with Keywords: Ruth Adeyemi will offer insights into leveraging keywords for SEO.

Day Two: Grow Your Social Media

The second day is dedicated to social media growth, featuring:

• Social Media Growth Strategies: Nuri Gallow will share her journey to amassing over 60k followers on Instagram and TikTok, alongside tips from her influencer course.
• Building a Community and Crafting that IG reel: Fashion blogger Helene Olivier will show us step by step her process for creating a reel and how she has created a community.
• Practical Platform Advice: Hayley Malan will provide actionable advice for utilising various social media platforms effectively.
• Collaborating with Brands: Jhene Nel from Webfluential / The Salt will reveal how to secure brand partnerships.
• Passion-Driven Community Building: Pearl Holdstock will discuss the importance of focusing on your particular passion for authentically connecting with people.
• Anatomy of a Viral Post: Cherise Roberts will give examples of what makes a post popular.

Day Three: Beyond Blogging

The summit concludes with a look to online enterprise beyond your blog or social media, exploring:

• Blogging as a Business: Amanda Rogaly will share her journey of transforming her blog into a thriving business.
• Authenticity in Business: Cindy Laufs from Hustle Media will speak on the significance of authenticity and how that can impact you as a brand.
• Podcasting: Aisha O’Reilly, the Whole Mama, will offer insights into starting a successful podcast.
• The Value of Networking: Blogger, influencer, and photographer Nadine Smallberg will discuss the critical role of networking.
• Selling Digital Products: Kaycee will share with us the lowdown on how to go about selling digital printables, courses and other ideas for your blog.
