The ANC has had more than enough time to govern South Africa. And it wasted that time. After more than three decades of ANC rule, the country is on the brink of ruin. Incompetence and corruption have eroded state institutions and caused municipalities to collapse.

It is time for everyone who truly believe in our beautiful country of opportunity to stand together. Our time has come to shape our future, to let our voices be heard, to create opportunities, to stand up and to do what needs to be done in order to build a better future.

It is also time to register to vote for this.

“Our” voters are all those who are victims of ANC incompetence, corruption and poor service delivery. Our voters are all those who pay taxes and levies but do not receive services. Our community is Afrikaners and other minorities in South Africa. Our name is Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) and we stand with you.

All those who feel that this is “Our Time” should join hands with the Freedom Front Plus on 4 November and declare: It is Our Time to ensure that the country offers a future for all who live in it.

Local government, the cornerstone of service delivery, is in an existential crisis: municipalities are bankrupt and dysfunctional, saddled with unsustainable debt.

There are massive water losses due to a lack of maintenance. Sewerage and electricity infrastructure is in a terrible condition. In many towns the taps are running dry. There are streams of sewage in the streets, roads are crumbling and, in many municipalities, refuse removal has become the exception rather than the rule.

This paralyses communities. Local government is like the root system of a country’s economy. When the roots rot, the tree dies.

These failures have not only destroyed the economy, but have also shattered the dream of a united, prosperous nation. Investors are fleeing, skilled people are emigrating and ordinary, hard-working citizens are paying the price.

It is time for the good people of South Africa to draw a line in the sand. We deserve better than what the ANC has delivered over the past thirty years. This is Our Time.
