Taking space in the majestic city of oaks this coming Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2023, the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience has become a firm favourite of South Africa’s largest women-only mountain bike club, the esteemed Trail Angels.

“Our aim is to introduce more women to the exhilarating world of mountain biking by providing support and encouragement,” expresses Nikki Haywood, Trail Angels Founder and Owner. “We acquire a genuine affection for the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience, as it not only brings the thrill of mountain biking close to home but also injects a noteworthy deal of enjoyment into the mix. The availability of two distinct distances to pick from makes it inclusive for a broader range of riders. Moreover, the vibrant social atmosphere within the race village is unparalleled.”

“This year, we’re thrilled to acquire nearly 30 Trail Angels donning our fantastic ‘demons kit’ to champion women’s cycling,” Haywood elaborates. “We can’t wait to experience the camaraderie, the chance to bond over our shared fancy and passion for the sport, while infusing the event with our spirited enthusiasm. We’d like to invite more female riders to join us at South Africa’s MTB Party of the Year. The routes are genuinely accessible, offering varying levels of technicality, and you can select the distance that’s suits you best. Join us as we strive to grow the sport of Women’s Mountain Biking in South Africa!”
