The upcoming Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified Festival will close the regular festival phase, giving clubs one final opportunity to improve their positions before attention shifts to the Championship Finals.
The tournament will take place at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Soweto Campus from Friday, 06 November until Sunday, 08 November 2026.
The three-day festival is set to go a long way toward determining the final standings in both the Super Era and Super Rise Streams.
All but two of the 16 Hollywoodbets Super League clubs will be in action. Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, who are representing South Africa at the CAF Women’s Champions League currently underway in Egypt, are among the notable absentees.
Sundowns’ absence also means their scheduled opponents, Stellenbosch Ladies FC, will be exempted from this weekend’s round of fixtures.
With Sundowns having already secured the Super Era Stream title, attention turns to the Super Rise Stream, where the race remains wide open.
Log leaders University of Fort Hare (UFH) and second-placed UJ are still in contention for the honours.
The two teams are separated by just two points.
Here are the key factors that will shape the final standings and the line-up for the Championship Finals.
Fort Hare on the Brink of Super Rise Stream Title
University of Fort Hare need just one more win to settle the Super Rise Stream title race.
The Eastern Cape side face already-relegated City Lads Ladies on Saturday evening in a top-versus-bottom clash.
Victory for the Baby Wolves, as UFH are affectionately known, would put the title beyond the reach of second-placed UJ, confirming their status as Super Rise Stream champions.
Second-Place Finish Still Up for Grabs
The runners-up positions in both streams are also still up for grabs.
In the Super Era Stream, second-placed University of the Western Cape (UWC) face a must-win encounter against bottom-placed Richmond United Ladies on Saturday morning.
UWC will be eager to secure maximum points to avoid being overtaken by the University of Pretoria, who are just a point behind them in third place.
Who Will Follow City Lads Down?
Richmond United Ladies, who are propping up the Super Era Stream standings are staring at relegation.
The odds are heavily stacked against the Northern Cape-based side heading into their fixture against UWC on Saturday morning.
The situation is so dire for Richmond that even victory may not be enough, as their fate also depends on Diepkloof Ladies and Stellenbosch Ladies failing to win their remaining matches.
Another defeat for Richmond would effectively end their survival hopes, leaving Stellenbosch and Diepkloof safe from the drop.
The Road to the Championship Finals
The Soweto festival will bring the regular festival phase to a close, paving the way for the Championship Finals, which will feature the top three teams from each of the two streams to determine overall positions.
The winners of the Super Era and Super Rise Streams will meet to determine the ultimate Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified champions, who will walk away with the first-prize purse of R2 million.
In addition, the champions will earn an opportunity to compete for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League through the COSAFA Qualifiers.

Van der Merwe goes to Paris to watch the Boks take on the Brits at the world cup.
Whilst in Paris, he walks around, gaping and staring at everything – so much so that he walks smack bang into a fire hydrant which hits him so hard on the family jewels that he has to be rushed to hospital where the doctors tell him they have to remove his testicles.
Van goes berserk, he bites and snarls at every one and he won\’t let anybody within 10 metres of him. Eventually they find a South African doctor in the hospital and get him to talk to Van.
He walks up to Van and tells him \”Hey Van, die ouens moet jou knaters uithaal.\”
Van replies \”O, okay, ek dog die bliksems wil my test tickets vat.\”
