30 Years of Bush Radio

On Friday, 8 August 2025, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys represented the Executive Mayor of the City of Cape Town at Bush Radio’s 30th birthday celebration. Bush Radio is one of Cape Town’s oldest community radio stations and has played a big role in the history of Cape Town and still remains the heartbeat of many communities across Cape Town.

The gala dinner took place at the Nico Malan Recreational Hall in Observatory where Alderman Uys addressed the Bush Radio staff and special guests and shared the City’s appreciation for the impactful partnership the municipality has had with the station over the years.
