To bring this new activation to life, World Champion and net-zero racing team Envision Racing, the greenest team on the grid of the world’s greenest motorsport championship, joins forces with Cartoon Network EMEA, Warner Bros. Discovery’s animated series network, to engage children in the race against climate change. Part of the Cartoon Network Climate Champions initiative, this exciting game is here to turn you into an eco-hero, tackling the growing problem of electronic waste (e-waste) while having a blast!

What’s the buzz about?
Cartoon Network’s Climate Champions initiative is all about inspiring kids aged 6-12 to take small actions every day for the environment and make a world of difference together. Now, with Climate E-Racers, you can join the fun by racing through awesome Cartoon Network worlds in cars you customise yourself—using e-waste collected in the game and more! It’s a wild ride where you’ll take on cool Climate Champions challenges, learn about recycling, and show off your creativity and skill.

Check out these awesome features of Climate E-Racers:

  • Car Customisation: Pimp your ride with a variety of accessories and decals. It’s all about style and sustainability!
  • Helmet Section: Deck out your helmets with funky branded stickers.
  • Leaderboards: Compete to be the fastest and see your name in lights! The top 10 racers get a special shout-out.
  • Teleports: Choose between multiplayer or single-player races for double the fun!

Robin from Teen Titans Go! is your trusty guide through the e-waste adventures, and you’ll see more of your favourite Cartoon Network characters along the way! Collect hidden e-waste throughout the Cartoon Network Island, and complete races to earn e-waste tokens and unlock cool upgrades, like choosing a co-driver amongst characters you love from shows like Teen Titans Go!, The Improbable World of Gumball, Craig of the Creek, We Baby Bears, and Prince Ivandoe. Plus, jazz up your car with quirky modifications like dustbin lid wheels and Cartoon Network-themed bumpers—talk about recycling with style!

Monika Oomen, VP of Brand, Communications, and Digital Content Strategy for Kids EMEA at Warner Bros. Discovery, says, ” In our efforts to engage kids into climate action, the partnership with Envision is a vital addition to our Cartoon Networks Climate Champions campaign on Roblox, within Cartoon Network Game ON! Through gamification, we provide a fun and relevant activity that reaches children where they love spending time.”

Why it matters:
The world is on track to produce 75 million tonnes of e-waste by 2030! That’s a huge problem, but Climate E-Racers is here to help kids understand the importance of recycling and reusing electronics.

To make this mission even bigger, Cartoon Network Africa has teamed up with the E-Waste Recycling Authority (ERA), a leader in e-waste management in South Africa. ERA helps guide the proper disposal of e-waste and provides a handy list of recycling drop-off points around the country, making it easy for everyone to pitch in and protect the planet.

For more information on how to become a Cartoon Network Climate Champion, you can visit the Climate Champions website or download the ‘CN Climate Champions’ app to discover facts and trivia about e-waste, new quizzes, new voting cards, and new e-waste challenges that can ‘Make a World of Difference.’

So, buckle up and head to Cartoon Network Game ON! on Roblox to test your skills with Climate E-Racers. It’s time to race for the planet!
