Government activities for the week 25 to 29 March 2024

On Monday, 25 March, the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Barbara Creecy will lead the inaugural Biodiversity Economy and Investment Indaba at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg, Gauteng.

Also on Monday, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Professor Blade Nzimande, will officially launch the Higher Education Innovation Fund.

Commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA), Dr Michael Masiapato, will hold a media briefing to outline the accelerated security control measures at the ports of entry during Easter period on 25 March.

On Tuesday, 26 March, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Fish Mahlalela, will host a Tourism Imbizo to discuss issues affecting the tourism sector in the WC with stakeholders at the Inaugural Biodiversity Indaba and Investment Summit.

Also, President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Tuesday address the Inaugural Biodiversity Economy and Investment Indaba at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Boksburg, Gauteng.

On Wednesday, 27 March, the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities will host a Policy Dialogue on Gender-Based Violence Prevention.
