25 July 2024 – Johannesburg, South Africa – Mercatique Consulting had the immense honour of playing an integral role in the 7th Presidential Inauguration — a historic event celebrating 30 years of democracy in South Africa. Under the visionary leadership of Yasmine Kazadi, CEO of Mercatique Consulting, their mission was to deliver a turnkey solution for the food and beverage needs at the VVIP luncheon marquee.

Presidential events come with their share of intricacies and complexities and this occasion was no different. Mercatique and Kazadi’s task was monumental: managing over 300 staff members, adhering to stringent security protocols and showcasing the very best of South Africa to a global audience.

The journey began in the early hours. Imagine coordinating 300 hospitality staff to arrive at a secured park by 3 AM. This feat required meticulous planning, flawless execution and a deep understanding of the event’s magnitude. Yasmine Kazadi’s exceptional organizational skills and strategic foresight were crucial in overcoming these challenges.

Leading their culinary display were the brilliant Chef Wandile Mabaso and sommelier Xolani Mancotywa. Together, they crafted a gastronomic experience that reflected the essence of South Africa, featuring the country’s rich flavors and finest produce. Their expertise, combined with Yasmine’s direction, transformed the luncheon into a celebration of South African culture and cuisine, making it an unforgettable experience for the VVIP guests.

The success of the event was a testament to their team’s unwavering commitment and dedication, guided by Yasmine Kazadi’s inspiring leadership. It showcased their ability to execute complex tasks flawlessly and demonstrated the excellence of South African hospitality.
“Looking back, we are filled with pride. Not only were we part of such a significant event, but we also highlighted the best of what South Africa has to offer. Here’s to many more such opportunities to shine on the world stage!” Exudes Yasmine Kazadi as she reflects on the success of this event.
