The digital age has brought about a seismic shift in the way businesses approach marketing. Traditional methods, while still relevant, are being complemented and sometimes even replaced by innovative digital strategies. One of the primary drivers of this change is the rise of the marketing agency digital.

These digital-first agencies understand the nuances of the online world. They recognize that today’s consumers are tech-savvy, with most of their purchasing decisions influenced by online interactions. This is where online marketing plays a pivotal role. It’s not honest about having a presence on the internet; it’s about ensuring that this presence resonates with potential customers, leading them down the sales funnel.

However, having a robust online presence is only half the battle. The real challenge lies in attracting potential customers to your digital platforms. This is where lead generations approach into the picture. The process involves a series of strategies designed to attract and convert strangers and prospects into someone who has indicated an interest in your company’s product or service. From content marketing and email campaigns to SEO and paid ads, various tools and techniques can be employed to generate leads.

In conclusion, as the business landscape continues to evolve, the importance of a digital-first approach to marketing becomes increasingly evident. Whether it’s through comprehensive online marketing strategies or focused lead generation efforts, businesses need to adapt to stay relevant and competitive in today’s digital age.

Reforming the Rockefellers: Speaking of Ivy Lee, in 1914 he achieved another PR milestone when the wealthy Rockefeller family hired him to reform their image. A deadly coal strike had put the family under intense public scrutiny, and Lee organized an in-depth campaign to secure positive goodwill. His tactics include government relations, media relations and even public appearances that sent John D. Rockefeller to meet with the miners personally. The campaign pushed PR onto a much larger platform than ever before and helped define the industry’s relationship with corporations. (Source: Journal of Public Relations Research)

Media clips used to require actual clipping. To see if PR efforts paid off, a company hired women in Maine to read through every single newspaper. Every time they found mention of a client, they underlined it with red wax pencil and were paid around two cents. PR pros would paste these clips into a “clip book” and show it to each client.
