1983. His musical journey began back in 2001 when he learned the art deejaying and beat-matching using radio cassettes. He later pursued studies in Financial Information Systems at Tshwane University of Technology and completed an MBA with Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). Over the years, JCross gained extensive work experience in business development and traveled across Africa, Europe, and Asia. Following on from his academic careers,he achieved DJ certification in 2016 and made a name for himself by participating in the Redsquare DJ Knockout competition in 2017. His sets are known for the selection of nostalgic Afro House and Afro Tech tracks, reflecting his unique identity as an artist. The name “JCrossUnlimited” holds a personal significance as it symbolizes the difficulties he faced during a turning point in his life. Losing everything he had built, he felt as though he was carrying a “cross” of challenges and hope. The name “DJ Cross” initially emerged from the location of his former house on Cross Street. Adding the initial of his surname (Janda) created the unique stage name, JCross. He then embraced the “Unlimited” aspect as a testament to his determination to prove himself and his limitless potential. As the DJ field in South Africa became more concentrated with the rise of Amapiano music, JCrossUnlimited sought to gain an edge by producing his own music. He began learning music production in early 2020 and honed his skills further with the guidance of producers like Deejay Soso and DJ Teddy. This led to the release of his debut single, “iLanga,” in May 2023 and garnered a propitious reception. As his popularity in the South African music scene grew, JCrossUnlimited’s like for music took him to international stages, where he performed in the Netherlands and Indonesia. With a unique musical style and a growing discography, JCrossUnlimited continues to manufacture a significant impact in the music industry.

Myth: It’s all corporate or for luxury brands. Fact: Any company or organization can use PR! Misconceptions are common specifically about the clients most PR firms serve. While there is certainly a PR need among brands offering luxury services and products, there is just as much value in PR for many nonprofits, public affairs groups, or B2B companies. And while some agencies specialize in just one industry, it often benefits agency PR professionals to be well-rounded, flexible, and prepared to work with a wide variety of clients. Moreover, working with diverse clients can help individuals think critically and creatively about how to target all kinds of audiences and make an impact in different ways.

When Bernays first started writing about Public Relations, he referred to it as an ‘applied social science’. At the time (around 1920), the concept of social psychology was gaining popularity. And, thanks to his double uncle, the public was starting to accept the idea of psychology more and more. Bernays viewed PR as a way of understanding the attitudes and behaviors of crowds and how to change them. Back then, communication was just one of the ways to achieve that.
