RoseHill SUPERSPAR Expression Session For The Rip Curl Cup

The Rip Curl Cup is an Open Speciality Surfing Event during the Port Alfred Easter Festival. It is presented by The Royal St Andrews Hotel and is supported by Sea Harvest.

The Rosehill SUPERSPAR has made a significant contribution to this event by sponsoring the Rosehill SUPERSPAR Expression Session during the Rip Curl Cup. This exciting addition to the contest, with two prizes of R2,5k each for The Best Air and the Best Move, has elevated the total prize money to an impressive R80k for the Rip Curl Cup and R110k in total for the two surfing tournaments. 

Stacked Lineup Of Entries

Entries for the Rip Curl Cup include the likes of Kai Hall, Luc Lepront, Daniel Emslie, Brad Scott, Joshe Faulkner, and Bryce Du Preez for the men, and Sarah Scott, Remi Fourie, and Louise Lepront for the women, to name a few. 

Rip Curl athletes in the Rip Curl Cup include Blake Crankshaw, Jack Erlank, Rylan Jarvis, Ben Esterhuyse and Gemma Hanafey, while local entries include Andrew Laverge, Lily and Warwick Heny. Very few slots remain for this event, and entries will close soon. 

Rip Curl GromSearch

The Rip Curl GromSearch Port Alfred is part of a five-event series held at various locations, including Kommetjie, Scottburgh, Nahoon Reef in East London, and Cape St Francis. It is presented by the Royal St Andrews Hotel and supported by Sea Harvest. The NSRI will be on duty for water safety at both the Rip Curl GromSearch and the Rip Curl Cup. 

The two surf events are the anchor events of the Port Alfred Easter Festival, a multi-sports and culture festival from 29 March to 1 April. 

Port Alfred Easter Festival

Throughout the long weekend, there are surfing competitions, a music festival, the SA Bodyboarding Challenge, a huge open-air market, and numerous sporting events, with something for everyone. There is a tennis tournament, open-water swimming, cycling, running, bowls, golf, croquet, amateur boxing, and more. 

Bands At The Beach

Georgetown, Arno Carstens, Wonderboom, aKING, and December Streets are among the acts for the Bands At The Beach Music Fest. Tickets are available from QUICKET.
