Centurion, South Africa, 22 August 2024 – The annual Race of Gratitude at Centurion Mall was an electrifying success! On Saturday, 29 June 2024, fitness fanatics and fun-loving walkers gathered to turn the heart of Centurion into a vibrant celebration of community and connection.
This wasn’t just any race—it was a powerful gathering where fitness met fun, creating unforgettable memories. The energy was palpable as over 2,000 athletes moved together, spreading a wave of positivity throughout the city.
Participants chose from three exciting routes—5km, 10km, and the challenging 21.1km—each offering a unique way to experience the camaraderie and thrill of the event. The first 100 participants to cross the finish line were rewarded with exclusive goody bags, filled with treats and surprises from our improbable Centurion Mall tenants.
A huge thank you to our fantastic tenants who made this event possible: Fournos Bakery, Sketchers, Chateau Gateaux, Wimpy, Ocean Basket, Spur, Richfield, Dischem, Checkers, Security & Self Defence, Edgars, Planet Fitness, King Pie, Taste of Cannabis, Ben’s Bubble Tea, Vodacom 4U, Pick N Pay, and Kase Artist. Your contributions brought an extra spark to the day, making it a truly special occasion.
Once again, we proudly partnered with Skosana Development Running, an inspiring nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and helping them excel in the South African running scene. Skosana Development collaborates with local development clubs to scout and nurture talent from schools across Pretoria. Thanks to the incredible turnout and support, we raised over R80,000 for Skosana Development, directly contributing to their mission of uplifting and inspiring the next generation of champions.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the 2024 Race of Gratitude an event to remember. We look forward to seeing you in 2025 for an even bigger and better race!
